Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER)

Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research provides grants to scientists and engineers in developing countries to address global development challenges, working in collaboration with researchers funded by eight select U.S. federal science agencies. These agencies include : the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, the Smithsonian Institute, U.S. Geological Survey, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, USDA Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Forest Service, and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Since 2011, the PEER program has established over 200 research partnerships that strengthen research ecosystems, enable collaborators to become better partners in development, and catalyze locally-driven solutions.
