Who We Are:
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) is an international grant-making NGO promoting evidence-informed development policies and programmes. We are the global leader in funding, producing, quality assuring and synthesising high-quality evidence. We support studies and reviews that examine what works, for whom, why and at what cost in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs). We believe that using better and policy-relevant evidence helps make development more effective and improves poor people’s lives.
We are currently supporting evaluations and providing services in 53 developing countries. We also fund, quality assure and produce our own in-house evidence gap maps, systematic reviews and replication studies.
3ie provides a wealth of free knowledge resources through its website, including its well-accessed online evidence hub. The hub includes the largest-of-its-kind impact evaluation and systematic review repository, multimedia resources and the 3ie publication series.
What We Offer:
3ie’s website hosts the largest-of-its-kind impact evaluation and systematic review repository in international development. The evidence database can be accessed at http://www.3ieimpact.org/en/evidence/
3ie evidence gap maps consolidate what we know about what works in particular development sectors or thematic areas. Our interactive online platform provides a visual display of impact evaluations and systematic reviews in thematic areas. Access our gap maps at http://www.3ieimpact.org/en/evidence/gap-maps/
We also have our own publication series that includes briefs, impact evaluation reports, systematic review reports, replication studies, evidence gap map reports, scoping studies and working papers. Our publications can be accessed at http://www.3ieimpact.org/en/publications/
Our multimedia resources include video lectures and how-to videos on technical concepts in impact evaluations, systematic reviews and evidence gap maps. These resources can be accessed at http://www.3ieimpact.org/en/media-room/
3ie knowledge products are accessed and widely used by researchers, policymakers, program managers and donors working in the area international development.
