About Habitat Association

Habitat Association is a non-governmental organization working in the field of sustainable development. Aiming to play an active role in the sustainable development of young people, Habitat was founded in 1997 by young people who came together for the Copenhagen Social Development Summit in 1995 and the United Nations Habitat II Summit in 1996. The first vision of the organization is to establish the communication bridge between Turkey and the world youth Habitat youth, young people develop their capacity in line with this vision and has developed many projects and programs on behalf establish international partnerships.
Our goal: To contribute to sustainable development by developing projects that support capacity development and participation in decision-making processes of all disadvantaged groups. Our principles: Transparency, Sustainability, Accountability, Innovation, Facilitation, Equal opportunity in education, Gender equality, Information access equality, Local and egalitarian democracy
