We hope to extend our digital fundraising to target likely prospects in non-member countries in a globally funded, coordinated and measured way to expand and diversify our supporter base and generate undesignated revenue.

Problem

Unrestricted funds are needed to achieve the ambitions of Save the Children. Our digital marketing is currently limited by the geographic presences of our member countries, and many of these markets are the most competitive and expensive from a digital fundraising standpoint. Expanding our digital reach to raise undesignated funds from the most cost effective markets in a highly targeted manner is an efficient way to drive incremental revenue, while diversifying our supporter base.

Solution

Extend our digital fundraising to target likely prospects in non-member countries in a globally funded, coordinated and measured way to expand and diversify our supporter base and generate unrestricted revenue.

Innovation Description

The idea is to extend our digital fundraising to target likely prospects in non-member countries in a globally funded, coordinated and measured way to expand and diversify our supporter base and generate undesignated revenue.
Our approach would be to start with a series of pilot tests managed by Think in 2018. The tests will inform the development of the growth plan for international digital fundraising. This approach will allow us to see the potential return on investment before committing to large-scale investment.
