Swarmob is a b-learning platform that helps K12 schools transform the curricular teaching by creating online projects that impact the UN SDGs within a collaborative network of schools and purposeful organizations.

Swarmob automates the institutional processes required for an effective implementation of the Network Project-Based Learning methodology (N-PBL), supporting teacher professional development, interdisciplinary curricular planning, students workgroup management, personalized feedback and 21st century skills measurement. As a result, students create projects that impact on the Sustainable Development Goals, which are uploaded to a project exhibition space where they can coordinate collaborations with projects from other schools of the Swarmob network, using collective intelligence and the power of interculturality to amplify their impact. Stage 4: Transition to Scale
We have validated our technological and pedagogical development, as well as the business model, by making sales for the implementation whit 18 schools in Chile. We develop a robust web platform, ready to scale to other countries and languages. Now we are looking for allies and financing to scale both outside and inside Chile.

Swarmob addresses the lack of school systems to deal with SDG target 4.7 (UNESCO, 2019), which seeks to ensure that all students acquire knowledge and skills to promote sustainable development. There are programs that teach sustainability in isolation, but the challenges facing humanity by 2030 are so huge that we need new educational contexts and technologies to train in-depth skills for effective large-scale collective actions, with the adaptability to include all social groups on board.
Swarmob is a b-learning system that develops collective action skills for global sustainability in K-12 schools by involving young people from different social contexts in the creation of collaborative learning projects that impact on the UN's SDGs. This is a SaaS that facilitates the pedagogical and institutional adoption of the Network Project-Based Learning methodology (N-PBL), building a collaborative community of schools and purposeful organizations.
Swarmob focuses to a significant degree in students of low-income contexts, as well as their teachers, offering them a system that facilitates their teaching-learning through active methodologies usually hard to assimilate in these contexts. But it also seeks integration by connecting them with students from different cultures and social contexts, while emphasizing on gender equity. In addition, it seeks to develop skills to participate in future forms of sustainable economic activities.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to be a support infrastructure that facilitates and guides the construction of an international and inclusive network of institutions capable of teaching new generations to use collective intelligence to collaborate for a sustainable world.
Our vision is to be the main global articulators of an education that helps humanity achieve new forms of understanding and collaboration that allow us to establish a harmonious relationship with planet Earth and other living beings.
There are many programs that might look like Swarmob to some extent, but none combine all its attributes at once. Several consulting programs work with Project Based Learning (PBL) for sustainability and/or for distance collaboration, but no one have a powerful web platform specifically designed for a deep management that contemplates the processes necessary for the institutional assimilation and rooting in the school culture (for everyone, but specially for marginalized schools); in fact, these programs are our potential allies. There are also some web platforms for PBL management, but those that we have identified so far, or do not include inter-institutional network collaboration or are generic, not designed for building a community around sustainability issues. In addition, for the construction of an effective collaboration network, it is not enough to develop a digital technology, but also specific social animation strategies, for which our team has very specialized experience.
Planned Goals and Milestones
We are currently in a transition process to scale after the achievement of important goals in the technological, pedagogical and business model development. Now some milestones will be the raising of private capital to expand into new markets. Another milestones will be to develop additional functionalities for processes automation, the implementation of an impact evaluation project already designed, and the achievement of public visibility.
