Stage 3: Proof of Concept
than 650 million people live without electricity in Africa and our mini-energy distributor project will produce more than 10
million kWh per year, and reducing emissions by
approximately 6,600 tons of CO2.

In fact, Africa,
with its 1.2 billion inhabitants, produces less electricity than Germany, which
has only 83 million, despite its enormous potential. More than 650 million
people live without electricity in Africa. According to
a study by the African Development Bank, the continent's current energy
situation would cost at least two points of GDP growth. How to fight against
energy exclusion and what long-term solution to the problem of access for all

Mission and Vision
objective is to ensure universal access to energy services in Africa and
increase the use of renewable energies. In an Africa deficit in electricity, we
aim to make access to energy banal by generalizing the presence of our
independent distributors outdoors. Our autonomous and connected energy
distributors will be usable in shops, businesses, restaurants, hotels, parks,
railway stations, rural or urban areas and will allow people to have free
access to solar energy by self-service.
Suunbox is an autonomous distributor that transforms the sun's rays into
electrical energy so that people can recharge their self-service devices for
free (phones, tablets, computers ...).
Suunbox is a smart terminal that embeds the latest technologies to capture
users in a place: NFC, Geofencing and Beacon. It also has a solar panel, an
internal storage battery, 220V electrical outlet and USB ports perfectly
integrated into a functional design.
today, the African populations damaged by the electricity grid have very often
used disposable batteries as a source of energy. And this represents a
significant part of the budget of African households. It is estimated that
almost $ 15 billion is spent annually on the purchase of batteries to charge
mobile phones. Our solution is free totally free for the people and should save them from spending
money for recharge.
