Agriculture is the essential element that has a influential direct and indirect relationship with all the SDG's. Using aquaponics, starting with training, is essential to bring the solution to the need.

Once the plants uptake the nutrients and minerals the water is returned to the fish. In these systems the fish grow faster and healthier as well as the plants growing faster, larger and more nutrient dense. The controlled environment is essential to supporting the environment for everything to thrive. Doing this indoors in a bio-secure facility eliminates the need for pesticides and herbicides. Power can be provided by solar, wind, and biofuels from the left over organic material from the harvest. The system also can grow food to support livestock production, eliminating the need for continued grazing and the continual fight for land.

Stage 4: Transition to Scale

We have successfully implemented and kept operational an aquaponics system and training program for three years at the University of the District of Columbia. We have done the projections for a base unit of 7,000 sqft.

Problem

The solution to all of the SDG's is going to be a very complex integrated system of systems. We start with agriculture, energy and water as the foundational elements to human survival.

Solution

Providing an ability to grow the food necessary to meet the nutritional needs as well as provide revenue for livelihoods begins to address human survival. Our solution takes human food production agriculture indoors using aquaponics to make it climate proof and eliminating the impact on the environment. Using this technology you open the locations to implementation, anywhere. We also believe what you grow can be customized to meet the nutritional needs of the people also livestock production.

Target Beneficiaries

EVERYONE!!! Especially opening opportunities for women and the youth. Through this empowerment some of the drivers of conflict are eliminated.

Mission and Vision

We hope to change the world! We link agriculture to economic stability of countries and the resiliency of the people. We also expect to address the food deserts in the growing urban centers.

Competitive Advantage

These systems can be implemented anywhere: above ground or even below ground, inside bio-secure facilities. These facilities can be in existing vacant buildings in densely populated urban areas, peri-urban or even remote rural areas. They require only about 10% of water required of traditional agriculture systems. Supported by alternative energy systems these facilities can be the start of a micro-grid for larger areas. There are no limitations of the type of human food you can grow in these systems, beyond using only fresh water fish. The only limitations are your imagination.
