-Decreasing maize yields, Decrease of incomes and food security -lack of water, sanitation and hygiene -lack of knowledge of soil management -Poverty -Illiteracy regarding agriculture -bad influence of peer group and perception of what is normal.
By providing stress-tolerant maize varieties for increased maize yields in environments with eractic rainfall patterns In addition to that, will provide education to the farmers regarding soil management by using traditional fertilizer and fumigation. Moreover will arrange tour and dialogue to different groups of farmers to learn from the farmers regarding the selection and preservation of the seeds.
