SkillNG is a private skill tutoring and talent acquisition accelerator that makes it possible for young people to learn the most in-demand global skills. We simply do this by connecting learners to professional skill tutors through a peer-to-peer learning network. We make it cheaper and faster for startups and companies to hire the best talents to help them scale up their businesses by providing access to our database of certified young professionals.
Our strategy is being driven by a growing database of professional skill tutors with various skills. These skill tutors range from students, graduates, artisans to gainfully employed individuals who train others in private arrangement for extra income and passion.
Our training programmes are more physical than virtual and makes it easy to measure learners’ competence and problem-solving skills more transparently. Leveraging on a physical peer-to-peer learning network, our solution is 5 times cheaper, 7 times faster and 10 times more interactive than the average E-learning platform. Our users also have access to learning resources in their account on our mobile and web platforms even after completion of their training sessions for continuous learning.
Our venture intends to reduce the rate of unemployment in Africa by 85% not only by providing youths access to entry level jobs, but by ensuring the growth of startups and businesses, making it easy for them to access the right talents for optimum scalability.SEE LESS

Africa is greatly bedeviled with education problems and employment crisis. With a population of about 1.2 billion, over half of Africa’s population is between the ages of 15 and 34 years and over 150 million African youths are currently unemployed. This ‘youth bulge’ is seeing around 12.8 million young people entering the job market every year, placing increasing pressure on an already tight job market.
SkillNG addresses the problem of unemployment, failure of small businesses and lack of entrepreneurial prospects amongst youths in Africa by training young people in-demand skills and making it easy for startups and companies to find and hire them.
We are trying to build a conducive and enabling ecosystem in Africa for the creation of disruptive startups and businesses by preparing African youths for the future of work, technology and opportunities. We believe that skill competence is a necessary ingredient for the creation of successful businesses and for employment.

3)Organization: This includes businesses and companies who pay to access our database of highly skilled young talent to join their businesses and help them scale faster.
Mission and Vision
Our dream is to help 500,000 young Africans in the next 5 years acquire relevant global skills to enhance their job and self-employment readiness while using these talents to fuel the growth of startups in Africa. We plan to secure SkillHubs at 5 Strategic locations in Nigeria while forging partnership with over 100 youth centers and innovation hubs across the country. This would make it easy for to us scale up at an exponential rate and increase our rate of skill and talent acquisition programmes by 85%.
Our training programmes are more physical than virtual and thus makes it easy for us to measure learners’ competence and problem-solving skills more transparently. Leveraging on a physical peer-to-peer learning network, our solution is 5times cheaper, 7times faster and 10times more interactive than the average e-learning platform.
Without SkillNG, the average business spends over 1008 hours and over $4129 trying to find and hire the right talents. But with SkillNG, these businesses can easily access the right talents 42 times faster and 70 times cheaper than what currently exists.
Our Startup fulfills SDGs 1, 4 and 8 of No Poverty, Quality Education and Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Planned Goals and Milestones
We plan to secure 5 SkillHubs at strategic locations in Nigeria over the next 5years. We also plan to launch our mobile application on July 15th 2019 (World Youth Skills Day) to enhance the automation of our processes and enable us scale globally. In the next 5 years, we hope to establish SkillNG as the foremost private skill tutoring platform and the most preferred talent development accelerator in Africa and eventually create meaningful jobs for over 250,000 young Africans.
