Purpose Plantations farms taro, herbs, cacao or koko Samoa, tumeric, coconuts and Samoan papaya. It is currently in the process of bringing in tissue cultures for asparagus to pilot the propagation and farming of it. Purpose Plantation is also researching and connecting with more experienced local farmers and restaurant owners on including edible flowers into the Samoan diet. Purpose Plantations is also experimenting in designing environmentally friendly packaging of its products. Purpose Plantation sells its products to the local market i.e. families, cafes, restaurants and other women entrepreneurs who add value to the products of Purpose Plantation. It also supplies taro to a local exporter to cater for the export market in New Zealand and Australia.
