Solution

To facilitate this, Save the Children Philippines will explore two models that will combine evidence and knowledge generation with advisory technical support and capacity building around children's rights and humanitarian issues. The project will entail scoping and research on the social enterprise environment in the Philippines and identify whether there is a gap that can be filled by this initiative.

Innovation Description

SC PHL aims to explore the possibility of setting up a social enterprise that can provide either:
1. Technical advisory and services to the government, international and local NGOs/civil society organizations (CSOs) and the private sector in the Philippines and in the Southeast Asia region, or
2. Capability building on children's rights and humanitarian preparedness and response for government, local and international NGOs, professional groups/associations and the private sector in the Philippines and in the region.

Planned Goals and Milestones

Overall Goal: For this phase, we would like to explore the viability of setting up a social enterprise focusing on technical consultancy services or capability building on children's rights and child-focused humanitarian programming in the Philippines and potentially in the Southeast Asia Region.
Objective: The viability ofsetting up a social enterprise alongside the models presented above is completed.
