3.2 Million babies are stillborn yearly, mostly due to complications during birth. Unfortunately 99% of these deaths occur in the developing world, due to poor infrastructure and lack of staff to attend to complications in time. PET recognises the need to develop solutions that can improve child and maternal outcomes that can be used in underresourced areas and are cost effective for healthcare providers. PET seeks to develop affordable and durable devices that can be used in settings without access to power or continuous maintenance.
