Problem

In the Philippines, 1 in every 10 girls is already a mother. When a girl gets pregnant, they often don't realize it and they don't know what to do next. They don't know how to tell their family and teachers, when to go to the doctor and how to take care of themselves while expecting, and what to expect from the father of their child, and how to get help for medical expenses.

Solution

ParentUpmakes the process of getting additional information and support more comfortable and convenient with a mobile service that connects teen moms with nurses and volunteer parents. Through 1:1 confidential chats on SMS, the most pervasive communication channel to teen girls in the Philippines, we provide maternal and newborn health information and non-judgmental support.

Target Beneficiaries

We aim to support teenage and young first-time mothers in low-income communities in the Philippines

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to improve the quality of lives of families all over the world with the use of technolgy.

Our vision is to establish ParentUp as the preferred service for families while keeping our uncompromising principles as we grow.
