A Connected Planet (ACP) is establishing an internship program in developing countries to teach college students and interested young adults how to develop software applications. The program is being piloted in Haiti and is being done there in partnership withthe university Ecole Supérieure d'Infotronique d'Haìti (ESIH)in Port-au-Prince. Interns will be taught to develop education apps in the mother tongue which will be made available to the public free of charge.
How does your innovation work?
Please see the document shown in the Resources section below. This document details ACP's implementation plan for the Intern Program.
Planned Goals and Milestones
We want to build out all our training presentation materials in Haiti in French, Creole and English. Once this is complete and we get the program started we plan to move to other areas in the Caribbean/Latin American area. We will be adding Spanish language next and have been investigating the Quechaun language spoken by over 10,000,000 people in South America.
Find funding to keep growing the program.
