Stage 3: Proof of Concept

ACP is currently preparing to conduct a Workshop in Port au Prince to kick off the intern program. Our Team is currently wrapping up the second phase of a technology implementation program in the Central Plateau region of Haiti.
Our applications are available on the Google Play Store and Applie iTunes. The applications are used in several schools. We do field testing with a Haitian school system which has over 1200 students.
ACP has already been developing applications for the past year in Creole, French and English. These applications are already used in elementary classrooms in Haiti. We are being asked to produce more content than is possible with our staff. We believe that starting the intern program will not only help us add content but will pass a critical skill to our partner nations. Innovation Description

A Connected Planet (ACP) is establishing an internship program in developing countries to teach college students and interested young adults how to develop software applications. The program is being piloted in Haiti and is being done there in partnership withthe university Ecole Supérieure d'Infotronique d'Haìti (ESIH)in Port-au-Prince. Interns will be taught to develop education apps in the mother tongue which will be made available to the public free of charge.
How does your innovation work?
Please see the document shown in the Resources section below. This document details ACP's implementation plan for the Intern Program.

Planned Goals and Milestones

We want to build out all our training presentation materials in Haiti in French, Creole and English. Once this is complete and we get the program started we plan to move to other areas in the Caribbean/Latin American area. We will be adding Spanish language next and have been investigating the Quechaun language spoken by over 10,000,000 people in South America.
Find funding to keep growing the program.
