Growing Greener Innovations has created a globally unique solution to tackle the world's biggest energy issues, the Grengine™ Power System*. The Grengine™ Power System is a modular, plug and play, system which is low cost, portable, and scalable. In essence, we have taken all of the electronics, inverters, battery management system engineering, etc, of an off-grid system and wrapped it into a system which works like Lego™. The reason this system has become so relevant is threefold. First, we prize mobility. The ability to have power anywhere at anytime is a must in today's world. Secondly, systems must be flexible. As our populations grow, moves, and advances, our power needs to increase steadily. Thirdly, we require plug and play technology. Energy powers all industry and is essential to the basic necessities of life - yet very few people are electricians. For people to access mobile power and scale that power as their needs demand, it MUST be plug and play. The Grengine™ Power System far surpasses all of the competing technologies on the market today. And finally, no other battery system can be scaled without a technician, and often these systems are not portable. The Grengine™ Smart Switch combined with the Grengine™ Rack allow the system to be scaled to ANY size. Regional hubs will increase local economic growth more than importing to the region; allow for more local parts to be purchased; allow for quicker customer response; and more efficient operations.

Energy Poverty; Grid Resiliency. Results of energy poverty: Low education. Poor health. Low economic opportunity. Energy access and economic growth have been shown to be directly correlated. Barriers to accessing energy: Cost. Location. Resiliency. Mobility. Technical assistance.

Solution

Plug and Play - While training programs can help to train local people, it remains another barrier. Our System does not require a technician. Scalable - Any solution that provides energy, but does not allow users to increase their energy in the future, has really only shifted the energy poverty scale. Our system will provide a scalable option. Mobility - Whether caused by extreme weather, urbanization, or other, people need a mobile power solution. Our Lego™ style system is ultra light-weight.

Target Beneficiaries

More than 1.2 Billion people in the world are at energy tier zero - candlelight. More than 2.6 Billion people still need to burn biomass to provide energy for cooking. More than half the world's population lives with insufficient energy supply, limited times for energy access, and rampant blackouts. We aim to aid in eliminating energy poverty with our Grengine Power System. Grid resiliency is also improved anywhere our system is used by incorporating peak shaving and voltage optimization.

Our mission is to empower people by giving everyone the ability to generate and supply their own clean energy. We hope to improve the lives of women and children, in particular, by increasing access to energy for light, schools, clean cooking methods, and more.

Competitive Advantage

This is the world's first and only (Patent protected) scalable system, where the end user can add additional battery arrays, with no technical background, like Leo bricks, to multiply the capacity of the system.

Planned Goals and Milestones

The Grengine Smart Switch. An extension of the Grengine Power System, the Smart Switch will help to automate energy efficiency, voltage optimization, peak shaving, and time of use brokerage within individual buildings and at the sub-station level. This will help reduce energy demand by approximately 15-20%, lower energy bills, lessen black outs, and help to improve the resiliency of the grid by placing energy storage inside the transformer loop.

Growing Greener Innovations was founded, and is led, by Connie Stacey, an LGBT woman entrepreneur. The GGI team includes award winning designers, industry leading engineers in heat and battery management, and MBA who specialize in social enterprises. Our diverse team has well over 100 years of experience in technology and business. Our advisors strengthen that with an additional 100+ years of experience.
