Innovation Description

Clean Power for Humanity is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing energy to rural areas to improve their livelihoods. A special focus is the installation of solar panels and wind turbines in Karen village schools. This area of Myanmar was chosen since 99.9% of schools don't have electricity. This reality means students complete work by candlelight after sundown, and half of household income is spent on candles. By having electricity in these schools, children have light in which to learn.
