Innovation Description

This project will provide rural users with more power than many electrification projects that provide enough to light a room or charge a mobile phone
How does your innovation work?
Nearly 380 million people lack access to electricity across India. While providing a basic electric connection is an important first step to alleviating energy poverty, limited or rationed access to electricity is not enough. This project will provide rural users with more power than many electrification projects that provide enough to light a room or charge a mobile phone.

Planned Goals and Milestones

DIV funding will support the rollout of 40 Gram Power microgrids across rural Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, bringing power to roughly 4,200 households and raising the standard of living for almost 30,000 people.
