Innovation Description

We combine versatile technology with in-country distribution, training, and technical service to equip low-resource hospitals to provide safer surgical care. Gradian's Universal Anaesthesia Machine (UAM) is a general anesthesia workstation designed in and for low-resource operating rooms. Certified with a CE mark, the UAM® delivers safe anesthesia in any hospital, including those where shortages of compressed medical gases and unreliable electricity prevent conventional machines from functioning. Gradian's Universal Anaesthesia Machine (UAM) is currently in use in more than 200 hospitals across 24 countries.
