Problem

With ongoing world crises, occurrences of violence and more frequent natural disasters, if you feel that the global order may be near collapse, you are not alone. In 2015, 193 world leaders signed a global agenda with 17 goals to achieve a more prosperous, peaceful, and sustainable world by the year 2030. These goals cover a broad range of issues, such as poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, environment and social justice.

The podcast will make the Sustainable Development Goals easier to understand, more relatable, and feel more attainable for every listener. Each episode offers listeners inspirational stories, high quality data, and numerous ways in which they can take action and personally contribute to the global efforts of making the goals’ achievement possible.

Our mission is to inspire listeners to do good by sharing the stories of people advancing a more sustainable world. We believe that all lives have equal value and that we are all part of the same human family. We are born seeing people as people – just like that, without labels or stereotypes. We believe in the power of dialogue to create common ground and remove divisions by focusing on the universal values that makes us all human.

Competitive Advantage

Global GoalsCast receives an average of approximately 5,000 downloads per episode with a total of approximately 86,000 downloads as of December 2018. Our audience comes from approximately 184 countries, with 60% of listeners from the United States. Additionally, sites which embed the podcast directly, like CBS News, the United Nations, Hub Culture and SDG Action Campaign, do not show up in overall download numbers. Though the countries with the next largest percentages of the follower base are much smaller, South Africa (5%), the United Kingdom (5%), Pakistan (2%), China (2%) and Canada (2%), the variety of countries that Global GoalsCast reaches after only a year shows the growing global reach and appetite for the podcast medium. We are using this numbers to make a positive impact in the world.

Expert on Marketing for social causes- are the two co-anchors of the podcast, interviewing the most interesting people and attending current events around the world. Our female-led podcast aims to inspire a new generation of early-adopter, millennial activists who are part of the rise of the podcast community to change the world for good.
