gidimo is Africa's leading gamified mastery and learning-for-livelihoods platform. gidimo lays claim to being a. The most effective and most fun way to learn on the go b. Because of point a. (and the many partnerships we have with corporates and development institutions), able to match successful learners to economic opportunity. We design & deliver learning B2B2C programs whereby learning outcomes are developed with partners/offtakers, such that we can guarantee successful learners outcomes they are interested in, thus making learners very happy to pay us, and satisfying both sides of the market On the learning side of things, we convert learning objectives into game quest objectives of various forms of interesting games, and we encode the latest cognitive science insights (around knowledge codification, storage & retrieval) into game elements & features, so that a. We have super-high learner engagement and b. Learners learn more effectively than in alternative approaches, without even knowing why everything sticks in their brains!

Stage 5: Scaling

Over the past six years, we've had over a 100,000 learners on gidimo, who have carried out over 200 million learning activities on the platform. We have currently have two major segments of focus: a. Senior high school mastery learning, and b. Learning programs that deliver economic opportunity for successful learners Over the past year and a half, one of the programs we've been working on is the result of a $1m grant from Google.org to provide free access to our senior school product for 100,000 economically disadvantaged youth (https://www.google.org/our-work/education/gidimobile/) We are currently: - Scaling both programs in Nigeria - Launching senior high school & financial empowerment in India in September - Developing senior school content for our Francophone Africa entry We expect to end 2019 with at least 150,000 new learners across two continents
