Our invention provides 'Smart Packaging Technology' to pack accurate dose of vaccine/drug in Drug-cartridge (preferably made of glass) containing retractable needle, which on combining with re-usable injector constitutes a self-retractable safety syringe operable like an ordinary syringe. After completion of injection, needle automatically retracts in empty Drug-cartridge which is safely disposable without any risk of needle stick injury and needle reuse. It ensures safe, rapid & hassle-free administration of vaccine dose without syringe within 30 second. Injector is frequently reusable to perform large number of injection procedures. The used glass cartridge prevents generation of plastic-based bio-medical waste. Drug-cartridge replaces the need of vials, ampoules etc. used for conventional packaging of injectable drugs. Thus, it solves the logistic problem as well as health and environmental hazards of used syringes. Packaging of fixed dosage ensures administration of correct dose without under/over-dose; protects drugs from all contaminations and prevents wastage of drug/vaccine. The LED provided in injector regulates and keeps vigil on the entire injection procedure to facilitate injection procedure by illuminating the injection site during dark hours. The injector may also be coupled with Fluid Collector to safely collect the body fluids without any risk of needle reuse and needle stick injury.
