SEE ALLWith rising costs of living, the average family struggles to put food on the table, keep the children in school and maintain comfortable housing and living conditions. As a result, most parents living on or under $2 a day struggle to feed their children, keep them in school, provide them with housing and clothing and maintain manageable living conditions. Some children are forced to choose between going to school and begging for food on the streets or working to help the family with the very expensive living costs. The Trust aims to keep children healthy and in school. Education being one of the key things that can help these children and families out of poverty, the programme aims to provide lunch that will allow them to learn more effectively and stay in school to gain an education. Food, means a better immune system thus fewer bouts of malaria and other highly prevalent diseases and thus less economic strain on their families and a better chance to gain a good education.
