Our industrial-scale CST design that is capable of producing steam, hot water, cooling, heating as well as fresh water has been recognized as the most innovative solution for district heating purposes. As a result of continuous optimization studies and analysis of our industrial clients’ dynamic energy needs, we designed a globally-unique Integrated Energy System based on CST, a novel configuration of renewable technologies that holistically satisfy multiple energy demands within one carbon-free system while lowering cost of energy for our customers at the same time. We have innovated next-generation solar thermal technology that can provide high-value energy for Industrial applications. Our core technology is the Small-scale Parabolic Trough concentrators that have apertures area of 5.5m2 meaning it is easy to be integrated on both roof-top and on the ground project. The collector is a low-cost and low-weight solution to existing technologies.

Problem

The Industrial sector accounts for a significant amount of energy demand. A study Published by EIA (US Energy Information Administration) concluded that the industrial sector accounts for about 54% of the world’s total energy consumption. Currently, about 90% of the heat demands in Industries are met by burning fossil fuels. Industries generally use 4 types of Boilers including Wood Boilers, Diesel-Based Boilers, electric boilers or Gas boilers. Boilers are a major source of carbon emission.

Solution

CLIMATENZA develops, supplies and supports Concentrated Solar Thermal technology for development of cost-competitive, highly efficient and low-medium temperature industrial process heat systems. Our core technology is Parabolic trough solar thermal concentrator and its complementary technologies. CLIMATENZA's parabolic trough technology has optical efficiency of about 76.8% which is highest for small-scale Parabolic Trough Plants. It is ideal for both roof-mounted and ground, mounted projects.

Currently, CLIMATENZA is more focused on the Industrial sector. Our ideal customers include Food Processing companies, Textile Industries, Chemical & Pharma companies, Paper Industries, and Dairy Industries. We are currently expanding operations in India which is a $468.24 Billion industry including $207.8 Billion energy market for Food processing companies.

Competitive Advantage

CLIMATENZA’s core technology is the Parabolic Trough Concentrator, a low-cost, high-performance solar energy concentrator. The technical performance, manufacturing, operation and maintenance advantages of the trough ensure its superior commercial performance in todays and future solar thermal markets. The Parabolic trough delivers superior solar-steam for Industrial applications due to: > Superior optical efficiency: 76.6% optical efficiency achieved by tracking the sun with the full face of the trough at all times and the use of high-performance mirror panels. > Low to Medium-temperature operation: The Parabolic Trough can be configured to deliver thermal energy at temperatures from 60 to more than 200 Degree C, ideal for Industrial Applications. >COST: CLIMATENZA’s technology is cheaper compared to present CST technologies. We aim to build a production line in India and Chile in the next 3-5 years with a vision to decrease the initial CAPEX by 250%.

Planned Goals and Milestones

CLIMATENZA aims to develop a solar thermal project for Industrial applications in India and Chile and for that we are looking to raise Investment either Grants or on equity. We have already constructed 2 pilot projects and a commercial project in India and we aim to scale up by acquiring more customers by increasing sales and Business development team at CLIMATENZA Solar.

Before entering into solar thermal Industry, he has been working as COO at e-commerce Industry. Simran Grover, Founder, Business Development & Marketing Director, holds over 3 years of experience working in start-up Industry. Nikhil Rohera, Co-Founder and Operations officer holds expertise in Supply chain and operations Management. He holds 4 years of experience.
