Community-owned Biochar Drinking Water Filters

We design environmentally-sustainable, biochar-based drinking water filters for rural Indian communities and train local women to manage these water kiosk businesses.

Stage 4: Transition to Scale

We have successfully implemented a pilot-scale water kiosk in a small village near Indore in central India. The water kiosk business is run by two women from the same village, who dispense the treated water at a nominal price to their community.
