Innovation Description

The fungal disease (canker) caused by Neoscytalidium dimidiatm is a quarantine problem. Farmers use fungicides to control this disease. Many shipments of dragon fruit exported to U.S.A. from Vietnam were rejected due to the presence of fungicide residue beyond the accepted limit. The technique developed for bagging dragon fruit eliminated application of fungicides on the fruits.
