The objective of the UNDP Local Economic Development Initiatives Small Grants Scheme(Small Grants Scheme) is to help selectedCivil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Business Associations (BA)implement projects to support local economic development in municipalities located inRacha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Guria, Imereti, Mtskheta-Mtianetiand Kvemo Kartli.The Small Grants Scheme has been designed to empower communities and CSOsto make contribution in tackling poverty, inequality and economic disadvantages.The specific objective of this call for small projects in the frame of the Small Grants Scheme Of the FRLD2 and DGG project is to provide support to the communities to recover from the economic and social distress caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

To be eligible for this call, an applicant must:

  • Be a non-profit organization (civil society organization, think tank, business association)
  • Have at least two years of proven experience in project management, private sector engagement, LED facilitation, policy analysis, workforce development, service delivery and/or similar field
  • Have worked in target regions/municipalities
  • Have experience of managing projects with similar budget size within the last two years
  • Be registered in accordance with the legal requirements of the Government of Georgia and provide organization’s registration certificate, statute along with the debt certificate

Other Requirements

Reporting Requirements

Reports (both financial and narrative) must be submitted on a quarterly basis in line with requirements and procedures set forth in the grant agreement. Reports should provide the evidence on:

▪Progress against agreed milestones, outcomes and indicators

▪Expenditure of the grant
