The United States Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs (WHA) announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to support a gender-based violence prevention (GBV) program focused on GBV prevention training for adolescent girls and boys in Brazil and/or Paraguay. This project aims to prevent GBV by empowering adolescents to address harmful socio-cultural norms and increase the capacity of local organizations to advocate for and implement GBV prevention activities.

Target Beneficiaries
This project will target adolescent boys and girls in Brazil and/or Paraguay in pilot cities/municipalities identified by the applicant, and local CSOs working on GBV prevention and/or services for survivors. The project should incorporate all GBV demographics, particularly historically marginalized communities, including indigenous, people of African descent, LGBTI persons, those with disabilities, and migrants. The number and scope of workshop sites should be proportionate to the available funding

Application Directions

Technically eligible submissions are those that: 1) Arrive via Grants.gov (www.grants.gov) by the designated due date and time, 2) contain a complete application package as outlined in the NOFO; and 3) heed all instructions outlined in the NOFO and this PSI document.
