  • Legally registered non-governmental DPOs (or group of PWDs acting under the fiscal sponsorship of a legally registered NGO)
  • Partnerships among DPOs
  • Partnerships between DPOs and other organizations (when a DPO is the managing partner)
  • The applicant must be based in and conduct the majority of their activities in the countries targeted for this call.

Planned Usage of Funds
  • Increasing DPO capacity to participate in advocacy and decision-making processes regarding implementation of rights at local levels
  • Advocacy for inclusion of persons with disabilities in government programs – such as education, health or justice – and in government budget planning and implementation at the local level
  • Increasing DPO capacity to participate in advocacy and decision-making processes regarding implementation of the SDGs
  • Advocacy for inclusion of persons with disabilities in the planning, implementation and monitoring of local government development plans and programs (as part of SDG implementation)
  • In Pacific Island countries only: Ratification of the CRPD and/or the Optional Protocol (where not ratified)
Reporting RequirementsFunded organizations (grantees) will be required to submit progress and/orfinal reports (both narrative and financial). Reporting schedules and relevant forms will be provided to successful applicants upon grant approval. Granteesare strongly encouraged to respond to inquiries from DRF staff between project reporting periods, including to our Grantee Survey(distributed in the first quarter of each calendar year), and may also receive a site visit during the project period. REQUIRED
