Call for Proposals (CFPs) from NGOs to undertake management of Grants to Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in the Karamoja Region

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) invites applications/proposals from registered Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in Karamoja Region and have experience in management of small grants to Community Based Organizations (CBOs). This call focuses on operations within the project area of the Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in the Karamoja Region. The small grants are meant for implementation of community level projects that enhance ecosystem services, adoption of sustainable land management practices, and innovate alternative livelihood options in six districts of Karamoja Region. The districts are categorized in two clusters: Cluster One includes Kotido, Kaabong and Karenga Districts, while Cluster Two includes Nakapiripirit, Moroto and Nabilatuk Districts. Maximum grant shall not exceed US$ 300,000 per NGO and the project lifetime shall not exceed 1 year (12 months).

The following are the required qualifications of the prospective organization:

a) Must be legally registered and authorized to operate in Uganda;

b) Established with operations in the selected districts of Karamoja Region;At least 5 years’ experience in delivering similar assignments in similar ecological regions

d) Entity has vast experience providing conservation, livelihoods and enterprise developmentservices to rural communities including having provided such services
