Applicants for regular SGP Grant may request grant up to $50,000 to be used over one or two
years.
• Proposed projects should be bold, innovative, and transformative, and have potential for
replication and scaling up.
• Successful projects should consider strong social inclusion, including gender equality and
women’s empowerment and youth, in their initiative.
• Projects may be focused around conservation, technology, awareness and others, but all
applications should explicitly state the plan for having strong impact and concrete results on
global environment as well as livelihood.
• SGP Country Programmes and projects that could bring partnership and leverage additional
resources (e.g. cofinancing with INGO, foundation, private sector) at the Program and Project
levels are given priorities.

Project concepts might be sent via email or submitted in hard copy to the attention of GEF SGP National Coordinator (see attachment for more details).
